Furthermore, voter suppression remains a perennial battle in our so-called bastion of democracy, with countless lives sacrificed to secure the right to vote and influence our governance. Yet here we are, cast two steps backward as we fight on this battlefield once more. The leaders we elect should protect the rights our forebearers died for, yet entrenched political classes block progress and clamor for personal power.

This petition calls for a revolutionary change—an amendment to the Constitution to institute term limits for Congress, capping service at 13 years. Such a cap ensures a continuous cycle of fresh representation and the injection of new perspectives into our government. By tying these term limits to the President's term as dictated by the 22nd Amendment, we aim not only to prevent the entrenchment of a lifetime political class but also to ensure synergy and parity across governing bodies.

The battle should not be about clinging to power, but empowering the next generation. We should be preparing the youth to take the subsequent seats of power, not enabling a stagnant political climate where leadership remains unyielding.
