Support sustainable fashion instead of fast fashion to reduce waste production

The Issue

INTRODUCTION

This campaign gives awareness about how much fast fashion contributes to the waste generation of the country. We are aiming to support more sustainable fashion items where the clothes that we buy are used for longer. It will spread awareness about how much fast fashion contributes to the waste generation of the country. The creators are aiming to support more sustainable fashion items where the clothes that we buy are used for longer.

OUR PROJECTS

The project to be done under this campaign is a website or blog on how to upcycle these clothes or how to style them in different ways for the readers to make their clothes last. This campaign will promote local brands and those designers who use scraps of old unused clothes and give them the platform or recognition as well as recommendations of brands that promote sustainable fashion for us to use clothes that last. Lastly, for the campaign's ultimate goal of raising awareness about the implications of fast fashion, the advocates will use different social media platforms and raise a petition to further spread its cause.

OUR OBJECTIVES

The “Yes to Clothes that Last: A campaign to stop fast fashion contributing to waste of the country” is a campaign aiming to promote sustainable fashion rather than fast fashion that just mostly contributes to the waste in the landfills. Its objectives are the following:

  1. To raise awareness of the negative effects of fast fashion and recommend solutions to  help with it;
  2. Advocate the use of sustainable fashion or fashion that lasts then fast fashion;
  3. Reduce the waste contributed by fashion since we are trying to use them for longer;
  4. Give some tips and fashion ideas on how to use these pieces of clothing more;
  5. Promote designers and brands that create clothes more sustainably.

OUR MISSION

The Yes to Clothes that Last raises awareness and provides solutions to the dangers of fast fashion, which further devastates our environment. This improves strategies for preventing bulk clothing disposal, which hurts the environment. If we work together, we can provide you with a better life that benefits both you and the environment.

OUR VISION

This campaign envisions a change in the fashion business as well as the healthily-built environment. We wish to make a favorable, long-lasting impression on everyone

Consume less, be better. The rate at which we produce clothing is not environmentally sustainable. Choosing products created ethically by men and women who are paid fair wages and work in safe circumstances is what it means to buy sustainably. Let us encourage one another to purchase wiser instead of following the newest trends. Support this movement to improve your lifestyle and the environment! Ethics + Aesthetic = Sustainable Fashion.
