Fireworks generate lot of air pollution producing harmful products for humans to inhale. It is dangerous for people with respiratory conditions. They produce noise pollution and can cause panic and sleep disturbances especially if set off at antisocial hours. They are not dog friendly and cause serious distress to various other animals.

An increase in their use has been observed by private households in last few years. Some antisocial elements have used it recently to cause unnecessary distress to peace loving communities. Sale of fireworks should be restricted to government sponsored events only such Guy Folks  night, New year night, significant state celebrations etc.
