Many dogs are exploited by breeders who are out to make money with no concern for the welfare of their animals at all. Puppies are born into squalid conditions and often sold for extortionate prices with severe ailments, even disease. It's time we put a stop to this pain and suffering and to people being ripped off by unlicensed breeders. I'm calling upon our government to make it a crime to breed dogs without a licence to operate as a bona fide breeder. Therefore any person or business breeding dogs will have to operate within strict guidelines ensuring the safety and well-being of stud animals and their puppies.
