"Ave Maria" is the story of Mary being told, by the Angel Gabriel, that she has been chosen to be the Mother of God! 

Amazon Prime is using those lyrics as background when advertising HAIR GEL! This is completely inappropriate and sacrilegious!

Trivializing the Sacred is all too prevalent in our current society. I cannot be silent about this! I'm appalled.

 How did this ever get adopted as an avenue for selling items on Prime ?!

Yes, it's Latin, (So MAYBE Amazon doesn't know its significance) and Yes, it's lovely music, but it's ALSO the telling of a treasured moment in Catholic tradition, Christ became Man. It's not about Hair Gel or drum sets or headphones!

I have called Amazon headquarters and sent e-mails expressing my dismay, without any reply or desisting of its use. In desperation, I am resorting to a petition. 

Please join me in protesting this thoughtless reduction of the "Ave Maria" from Sacred to commercial. Raised as a Catholic who honors Mary as the Mother of God, I feel that I cannot just change the channel and let this continue.
