Dental Nurses are treated unfair and they are paid a very low wage, despite they are exposed to HIV, Hepatitis, Covid infections. Many dentists pay their dental nurses less than a supermarket shelf replenisher gets. Registered Dental nurses have to pay their own annual fee to the General Dental Council to keep their GDC number from this wage. Dental Nurses work in the health care but they are employed by the dentists, they are not getting the NHS private pension only getting 1% mandatory from the dentists. Dental Nurses should be treated equally as the general nurses in the hospital. This is not acceptable that dentists are allowed to do this and we have an institution/ organisation that is called General Dental Council that is supposed to do something about it, but it only takes dental nurses annual fees from their small wages. I am surprised that this is allowed. Why risk your life to HIV and Hepatitis  for? Teachers, Policemen, Bus drivers all serve the community and paid better wages. I would like the government to make the General Council Set a law for a fair wage for the dental nurses  and should be treated as normal nurses.
