We are student's at Roberts Elementary and we are doing a project on gender pay gap in professional sports. It deeply disturbs us that women are being treated like second-class citizens, and not getting paid the same as men in general but especially in sports. Men in sports make roughly 16% less then men. (When men make a dollar women will make 0.84 cents). The main reason that women aren't getting as much money as men is "women's sports have less interest than men's sports, so they don't get people to watch or go to there games making their pay be less."

What is at stake is we could get the same amount of money. According to Sophia Lyimo, "sports organizations could attract more top talent  and create a more competitive league. This could lead to more interest from fans, more ticket sales, and overall more revenue overall." If this happen then women and men would most likely earn the same amount of money.

Let's stand up against the gender pay gap and win our money. We deserve to be equally paid and represented. If we don't doo it now it might be 75 years until we try again and that can't happen.
