Gearbox & Randy Pitchford: It's Time to Bring Back Duke Nukem!
The issue
For decades, Duke Nukem has been the ultimate action hero the guy who kicks alien ass, chews bubblegum, and says what everyone else is thinking. Duke Nukem 3D is still one of the greatest FPS games ever made. It defined an era! Then came Duke Nukem Forever. After 14+ years of development hell, Gearbox Software finally released it in 2011. We waited. We hoped. And yeah… it didn’t exactly live up to the hype. But here’s the thing: Duke deserves better. Gearbox owns the Duke Nukem IP. Randy Pitchford has talked in the past about loving the character and even teased ideas for more Duke games. Yet since the World Tour remaster years ago, it’s been radio silence. No new game. No real acknowledgment. Just more Borderlands while the King sits on the shelf collecting dust. We, the Justice for Duke Nation (J.F.D.N), are done waiting. Our demands are simple:Publicly acknowledge Duke Nukem’s legacy and the massive fanbase that still loves him. Commit to developing a new Duke Nukem game a proper return to form with the attitude, one-liners, and over-the-top action we all remember.
or at minimum, support a new remaster, expansion, or fan-friendly project that keeps the franchise alive.
This isn’t about hate. This is about love for a legend who made gaming fun, ridiculous, and unapologetic. Duke built part of the foundation that modern shooters stand on. It’s time Gearbox (and now Take-Two) shows the King some respect. If thousands of us sign this, they can’t keep ignoring the demand.Join the J.F.D.N movement. Spread the word with #JFDN #BringBackDuke #JusticeForDuke #AlwaysBetOnDuke It’s time to kick ass and chew bubblegum again… and Gearbox is all outta gum.Hail to the King, baby! Always bet on Duke.
