Stevie Ryan took her own life July 1, 2017 at 33 years old after being under the care of a Nurse Practitioner, Gerald “Jay” Baltz who is now subject to disciplinary action by the California Board of Nursing for gross negligence, incompetence, unprofessional conduct and sexual misconduct. He even went so far to call himself “doctor” and didn’t even have a doctorate degree.

The complaint was filed August 2018, the investigation findings were made public June 2020 and he is still licensed and operating a cash practice in CA & WA with a hearing date of October 12, 2021. Stevie & her loved ones deserve justice and the residents of CA deserve a board of nursing that holds Nurse Practitioners accountable in a timely fashion.
