The Issue

Cyberbullying is a form of bullying that occurs through social media, text, and any type of online platform. It can include sending or sharing any type of hateful, harmful, untrue, and negative content about someone else. The most common platforms that cyberbullying is seen on are Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, iMessage, and etc. Although there are certain rules and terms on these platforms to stop cyberbullying, there is not enough to completely stop cyberbullying.

Our main focus how students are mentally and physically affected by cyberbullying. Through this we want to see how we can help certain students and victims of this horrible act.

The "Stop Cyberbullying Movement" was started by Erica Park, Luna Kim, Joshua Lee, and William Jeon as a US Government class project at Cypress High school. Through this petition, we are trying to raise awareness for cyberbullying and by signing this petition you are helping us take a step towards this movement. We are trying our best to come up with solutions to stop cyberbullying such as emailing state officials about creating new laws to protect people against hate on social media.
