Animal testing has been going on since the 1850s and has been a controversial debate for the past 100 years. Now with the advancements in technology, it should come to an end. Scientists have been coming up with alternatives to test out products and conduct research without the need for testing it on animals. Animal testing is an inhumane way to research, resulting in psychological trauma and lifelong health problems for the animals. The government provides a law that gives a very minimum standard of how an animal gets treated in these research centers. They also fund these companies and organizations millions of dollars a year, as well as using taxpayers' money to do so. To resolve part of the problem and discourage these companies from using animals in their research, the government can take away fundings from those corporations. As a result, more and more companies will find better and more efficient ways to conduct research projects without the need of using an animal as well as encouraging other companies to follow in their footsteps.
