I’ve lived in Weston, Southampton for 6 years and almost every night has been marred by unbearable noise and disturbances late into the evening. Groups gather at Weston Shore carpark on Weston Parade, engaging in antisocial behavior such as popping exhausts, doing donuts, screeching tires, and revving engines, making it impossible for the nearby residents to enjoy a peaceful night. Being extremely sensitive to loud noises, this constant nighttime disruption triggers my anxiety, affecting my well-being and sleep.

This ongoing nuisance not only threatens the tranquility for residents but also raises safety concerns due to reckless driving behavior. It's imperative to take action to restore peace in our community and ensure the safety and comfort of everyone living nearby.

A simple yet effective solution is to implement gating and locking of Weston Shore carpark each night. This measure would deter those intending to use the space for disruptive purposes and provide a clear boundary to preserve the quiet and safety of our neighborhood.

Residents deserve to feel secure and have their peace of mind when night falls. Other carparks in high-traffic areas have successfully implemented restricted access during night hours, proving that this is a practical and enforceable solution.
