Stop Labeling Little Girls' Jean Styles as "Skinny", "Super Skinny" and "Boyfriend"

The Issue

Over 80% of 10-year-old girls are afraid of being fat. Research has suggested that girls as young as 3 are already invested in the idea of being thin. Why are the Gap brands perpetuating notions of thinness and having a boyfriend - and borrowing his jeans - in its clothing labels for girls as young as 5 years old?  Let the Gap know that our girls deserve better labels, ones that are free of associations with weight and adult relationships.  Ask the Gap and Old Navy to assign labels that are far more healthy, age-appropriate, and positive.
