Say No to Chapter 313 and/or 312 Tax Abatements for Industrial Solar Farms in Ganado

Say No to Chapter 313 and/or 312 Tax Abatements for Industrial Solar Farms in Ganado

The Issue

We, the undersigned, with the desire to protect jobs, health, agriculture economy, wildlife, our neighbors, property rights, property values and real estate development and also share a belief in fair and equal taxes which do not abuse the intention of 313 and/or 312 abatements, request that the Ganado ISD School Board, as well as the commissioners court, and the hospital district in the county, deny any request from an industrial Solar for value of limitation, abatement or anything similar in form. This includes but is not limited to a 313 and/or 312 abatement. We further request, that neither the GISD School Board, or the Commissioners Court create or pass a reinvestment zone for industrial Solar projects within Jackson County.
We welcome Solar projects; who are willing to pay full property taxes as the rest of Jackson County residents do, will provide a decommissioning bond upfront, and provide a substantial amount of permanent jobs to encourage long term economic development throughout our county.
We understand no current 312 Applications have been brought forth to our Commissioners Court, or the Jackson County Hospital District, however in the event that happens, this petition will serve for such purposes
.
We the undersign, attest that we are over the age of 18, reside and/or own property within Jackson County.
