Every good game with campaign/story mode should have CO-OP!
The Issue
Have you ever played a good rated single-player game that you paid like $60 for but didn't have as much fun as playing any other game with friends?
An example of an indie game company, Klei Entertainment, that took this concept upon themselves and remastered their old game "Don't Starve" released back in 2012 with one of the major differences being Multiplayer/CO-OP modes and look at it now it's one of the top sellers on steam in the "Survival" genre.
In addition to this, here is an example of a game that never gave it's players the opportunity to enjoy this masterpiece with friends, so the modder community came together to bring players the experience they wished for in the game. The mod's Discord has gathered approximately 100,000 Members that support the creators of this mod. The support is so huge they even got a partnership with a popular voice/text communication software called Discord (https://discord.gg/SkyrimTogether
Some perfect examples of games that could have a lot more potential if they used this formula: Subnautica, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, The Witcher, Call Of Duty (Black Ops 3 doesn't count because no one understood the campaign...) and if you're a gamer I can bet you can think of more great titles which could use this.
And yes, before developers say "This game is supposed to be played Single-player" who cares! If it's a game you bought for like $30-60 you should be able to at least extend the longevity of the game you paid good money for through the chemistry of friendship. I don't want to be talking to NPCs all the time and monotone dialogue simply does not cut it for most people.
From my experience every game I play with friends I have more fun memories, as well as have way more fun experiences even if the game was bad, but at least the experience was worth remembering.
However, we are not saying every game should have this, but it's just a tip for the developers out there that refuse to use this concept to their advantage in terms of success and game sales, in return growing their company even further. And if a lot of people sign this petition maybe some game developers will at least consider this.
