Manufacture Knee-High Converse Sneaker Line Again (CTAS XXHi)

La causa

Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star XXHi (colloquially known as "Converse Knee Highs") were discontinued sometime around the early 2010s, thus ending an era of a shoe that became a staple in the then-popular subculture of the "emos" which actually continues to be notable in today's youth and older. But these shoes aren't only worn by the labelled emos, goths, punk-rockers, etc. These shoes are loved by many people, many of whom couldn't purchase them at the time because they were either too young or couldn't afford them.

By the date of this petition, 14th of april of 2021, these shoes have made a comeback when they began to trend on the popular platform/app TikTok, thus creating a wave of potential customers seeking these shoes on selling sites such as eBay, Poshmark, Mercari and Depop. Many people who still own these dusted them off, cleaned them and are wearing them again, especially to take trendy Instagram pictures. But the issue relies on sellers overpricing these shoes that once retailed for ~$60 to $100 on authorized Converse retailers (e.g. Journey's).

Since these shoes are now "deadstock" prices are being racked up and people find themselves having to dig deep into their pockets to be able to purchase a pair of these in a lot of times very worn down conditions. There are also sneakers which are more difficult to find than others; CTAS XXHi with multiple straps with buckles, and another variant which had multiple straps with studs on them.

If Converse were to manufacture these again, these sales would go into Converse's pocket and that would increase sales, especially right now that they are trending. So, what do you say, Converse? Take the opportunity, everyone wants these shoes back. Listings go up and a lot of them sell almost immediately. It is evident that you could get a lot of customers on board with the idea of getting their first ever pair of knee-highs or get the strapped variants that they dreamt of.
