Climate Change is a huge problem because it causes the world to basically self-destruct. The reason why I care so much about climate change is because it could possibly make all human kind go extinct. But before that happens all human kind will go through many disasters such as flooding and wildfires that could last for weeks even months. There has already been dramatic signs of climate change such as the wildfires in the Amazon and Australia. And now in the year 2020 many people were told to evacuate from Louisiana because of the sea level rising. But that is not the only state that this is happening to, islands are also disappearing and nobody wants to acknowledge it. When these sort of things happen it is not right to just hope that the sea will just go, because it will not. If the sea level starts rising it will come and go within weeks or longer though. But sooner or later the way the sea level is rising it could be permanent and it will not go back out to were it should go. 

I would think that everyone in the world would want a future whether its for them or their kids, but if everyone does not pitch in to help lower the Earth's temperature nothing will be able to save anybody. The main reason why climate change is happening is because of the burning of fossil fuels. The main people who burn fossil fuels are the people that own gas companies, and those same gas companies provide gas for the cars that we use. And if they stop burning fossil fuels they will lose their jobs but the world will not die out. I do not think that money is worth killing the world that you live in, and any sane person knows that if the world dies we also all die as well. That is why I care about climate change so much.    

We have to act now to prevent further warming of the planet. My goal with this petition is to collect a minimum of 1,000 signatures to show that other people are concerned about this issue and to convince the government to take real action by investing in renewable energy, outlawing single use plastic, and implementing programs to aid displaced families and communities that are going to be hit with the worst of climate change.
