Animal cruelty or pet neglect is a criminal offense. It includes all types of cruelty, from simply declining to provide appropriate care to maliciously killing or repeatedly torturing an animal. Because it is immoral to cause suffering to any living being, all acts of animal cruelty should be condemned. I t is an indication of psychological suffering and usually indicates that a person has either already experienced violence or may be susceptible to it, intentional cruelty is a specific reason to be concerned.

Animal rights is a social justice issue that's why we need to take action! If you accept that animals have rights, abusing and neglecting them is morally wrong. SAY NO TO NEGLECT, HOARDING, ABUSE, AND DEPRIVING ESSENTIAL NEEDS TO ANIMALS!

Republic Act No. 8485: The purpose of this Act is to protect and promote the welfare of all animals by supervising and managing the establishment and operations of all facilities utilized for breeding, maintaining, treating or training of all animals either as objects of trade or as household pets.

• How to stop Animal Cruelty? If you see someone intentionally harming an animal or witness animal cruelty, intervene them straight away, then contact the barangay or 911. Social media posting is not the same as reporting an incident to the police. It will be too late by the time the authorities receive your post.
• How to stop Pet Neglect? Start by being friendly then educate the pet owner about proper owning a pet. In the case that the behavior continues, you must gather proof, such as images and videos indicating a record of neglect, and complete a witness affidavit. Only at this point can PAWS or the law enforcement agency take the neglected animal.
