Fund Public Water Access on Our Street

The Issue

Living in Coal Center, PA, brings with it the challenge of not having access to public water lines on our street. My family and I face constant hurdles, juggling demanding full-time jobs while hauling water to meet our daily needs. This is not just a personal struggle, but a prevalent issue affecting numerous families in our community.

Water is a basic necessity that should be readily accessible to everyone. Yet, residents like myself are forced to find alternative ways to obtain it, which is both time-consuming and burdensome. When you spend countless hours ensuring your family has water to bathe, cook, and wash, it leaves little room for other responsibilities and affects quality of life. We strive for a better future where we no longer have to choose between providing for our families and meeting basic household needs.

The implementation of a public water access system on our street would not only ease the burden on current residents but also enhance the overall quality and value of living in Coal Center. We propose that the local government prioritize funding for the installation of water lines.

According to a report from the American Society of Civil Engineers, over $1 trillion in water infrastructure funding is required over the next 25 years to address US water supply systems. Part of this funding should be allocated to communities like ours, where the need is both immediate and essential.

Improving our street's water infrastructure requires an actionable commitment from our local and state government leaders. By initiating and completing this project, they would be investing in the health, well-being, and prosperity of Coal Center's residents. Eliminating the daily chore of water hauling would allow us to focus on work, family, and community contributions, ultimately enriching our lives.

Sign this petition to urge our local authorities to act now. Together, we can ensure that no family in Coal Center is left without access to this vital resource. Your support is crucial in driving this change. Please help by signing this petition today to bring public water to our street.
