STOP Kroger Fuel Station by signing the competition.

1. The proposed location is too small and would increase traffic congestion and greatly add to the current backups on Cascade Road and Cascade Parkway.

2. The proposed QuikTrip fuel station has purchased property at the intersection of 285/Cascade and Cascade Parkway – which is adjacent to the proposed Kroger fuel/service station.

3. Kroger has not been a good community partner in the areas of customer service and cleanliness of the property, both inside and out.

4. Kroger had the opportunity to purchase the Quicktrip location across the street.

5. Kroger has not addressed who would be responsible for removing the tanks and/or pumps in the event they leave the community.

6. The Cascade Corners Shopping center was permitted based on the restricted condition that prevents building of a service/gas stations.

7. The neighborhoods that surround the Cascade Crossing Shopping Center are against this type of development.

8. The proposed Kroger fuel pump does not enhance the quality of living for Cascade and surrounding communities.

9. Our community leaders along with elected officials should identify and market to the “right” type of family friendly businesses that will bring value to the area and businesses that do not require special land use permits to be built or operated.

No matter how Kroger tries to present its fueling station as a benefit to our neighborhoods and the surrounding communities, we must have a unified voice and let elected officials, and community leaders know we care about Cascade Road and communities in southwest Atlanta.
