Join Me in Creating a Fully Accessible World

Hi, I'm Harin, a 23-year-old full-time wheelchair user with cerebral palsy. Due to my condition, I rely on a profiling bed and hoist for all transfers. Despite the challenges, I live life to the fullest—I'm adventurous and love attending concerts and shows across the UK. 

However, finding suitable accommodation that meets my needs is a constant struggle. Not only is it challenging to find accessible rooms, but there's also an unfair price hike whenever something is labelled as "disability-friendly." I started this petition because everyone deserves equal accommodation regardless of their abilities. 

I am calling for all hotels and holiday accommodations to have at least one room equipped with a hoist and profiling bed. This change would be life-changing, not just for me but for countless others who face the same challenges. It would reduce stress, increase our freedom, and allow us to explore the world without limitations. Please support this cause by signing my petition. My Journey

I was born in Thailand at just 27 weeks, weighing only 1 pound. The doctors didn't believe I would survive—I wasn't even placed in an incubator. But against all odds, I fought to live, and I've continued fighting ever since. I refuse to let my disability define me or limit what I can achieve.

My love for adventure has led me to nearly 100 concerts and shows, and I plan to keep going. One group that has particularly inspired me is "Sign Along With Us," which performs songs using sign language to promote inclusion. Despite the joy I find in these experiences, the challenge of finding accessible accommodation continues to be a barrier. The moment the word "disability" comes up, prices skyrocket, making it even harder for people like me to enjoy simple pleasures.

Since launching my petition in March 2022, I've been overwhelmed by the positive feedback from families with similar struggles. They've expressed gratitude for my efforts to make the world more inclusive, but I've also faced negativity from those who think this cause isn't worth fighting for. Rather than discouraging me, this criticism has fueled my determination to continue advocating for change. In July 2023, my efforts were recognised when I won the Sparkle Award for Most Inspiring Male, an incredibly proud achievement.

I'm not doing this for fame or publicity—I'm doing it to inspire others. I want to encourage people who feel disconnected or marginalised to speak up and pursue their dreams. Don't let negative feedback hold you back; you have the power to achieve whatever you set your mind to.
