Give Dark Souls 3 Ornstein's helmet a plume!

Give Dark Souls 3 Ornstein's helmet a plume!
The Issue
Arguably one of the most iconic bosses of the Souls series, Dragonslayer Ornstein is the majestic leader of the Four Knights of Gwyn, and one of the hardest (if not the hardest) boss in Dark Souls. As the slayer of not just Dragons, but thousands of players, he has made an impression on anyone who's played the games.
In all three Dark Souls games, Dragonslayer Ornstein's armor has made an appearance in the world. In its first appearance, however, it lacked the magnificent red plume Ornstein's helmet normally has when worn by the player -- at the time, this was considered by the player-base to be a side effect of cloth physics being implausible or impossible at the time for Dark Souls, even though other plumes were visible in the game on player-available sets (notably on the Helm of Artorias, another knight of Gwyn).
In Dark Souls II, Old Dragonslayer, a nod to the game's precessor was a boss that appeared early on -- it wore Ornstein's Dragonslayer armor, complete with the shining red plume, and cloth physics were a beautifully working part of the game. Yet again, though, it was not to be. His armor was not available to the players, unlike the majority of other humanoid bosses in the game. However, people were still so inspired by his character, they tried to "cosplay" him with their characters regardless using pieces of armor from other sets that had even remotely similar looks.
For the third installment of the series, the community's hopes were high for the grand return of Ornstein's armor. "If it has somehow survived this long, they'll absolutely have the plume on it!" -- myself and many others were on the edge of our seats waiting for the final entry's take on the Dragonslayer of legend.
In an optional area of the game that, fittingly, only the most seasoned Dark Souls player with an unbreakable will for exploring would manage to discover, you can find both Ornstein's Dragonslayer Spear, and after an incredibly difficult hidden boss fight, you can find Ornstein's armor lying nearby.
But, for the supposed finale of the entire Dark Souls series, Ornstein's helmet was plumeless one last time.
Worse yet, even though his armor's model is in the game this time (and therefore moddable by the players, for those who are willing to go out of their way to mod the game), in the past players have received "softbans" for using modifications of any type in Dark Souls 2 as part of an anti-cheat system, disabling online interactions with any other players outside of writing messages permanently for your account. Arguably worse, it would sometimes put you in a pool of other "cheaters" -- sometimes other unlucky players who had simply used visual shader mods or simple armor changes, sometimes cheaters who could quite literally ruin your entire character with the simple press of a button if they managed to connect to your world.
A similar anti-cheat system is in place for Dark Souls 3, and while there aren't any graphics modifications available yet to test and see if a player would get softbanned for using them, the chances are relatively high considering the means through which they have to "hook" into the game -- it's very similar to how many cheating applications work, and that is what has (and will) trigger the anti-cheat system.
Instead of players modding FromSoftware's already beautiful game and risking losing connectivity to other players (in an otherwise wonderfully interconnected community experience), I propose FromSoftware/Bandai Namco attach the plume in a future patch. At last, players would be able to wear Ornstein's legendary Dragonslayer armor in all its majestically silver-armored-red-clothed glory, finally following in Dragonslayer Ornstein's mighty footsteps for the final entry of the series.
Please: FromSoftware, Bandai Namco, Hidetaka Miyazaki-san -- consider completing one of the most gorgeous armor sets in the entire series with its magnificent plume. It would mean a lot to the community, especially to those of us who are Ornstein enthusiasts and have been since Dark Souls became a part of our lives.
