From Lab to Lifeline: Help Us Save This Treatment for Kids with Brain Cancer

The Issue

Save a Promising DIPG Trial Before It’s Too Late

Every day, families of children with DIPG, a universally fatal brain tumor are told there are no effective treatments. But today, there is a real chance to change that.

Researchers at the University of Florida have developed a groundbreaking immunotherapy using onion-like nanoparticles to activate a child’s own immune system against DIPG. In lab studies, this therapy cured animals with the same tumors that are killing our children.

The science is strong. The promise is real. NIH even scored this research in the top 7% of all applications, recommending over $3.5 million to launch a national pediatric clinical trial.

But now, due to funding pullbacks, this life-saving research may be shut down.

If that happens, we lose:

  • A new frontier in personalized immunotherapy for children and adults,
  • Millions already invested by public and private institutions, and
  • Hope-something DIPG families cannot afford to lose.

We urgently call on the Department of Health and Human Services and the National Institutes of Health to restore funding for this trial and protect the future of pediatric brain cancer treatment.

Please sign this petition and stand with families fighting for time, for progress, and for a chance at life.

Our children are worth it.
