Bishop Larry Kulick presented his Lenten reflections to Elizabeth Ann Seton and Immaculate Conception parish members a few years ago one evening at EAS.

Many of us ask “Bishop Kulick, what changed?”.

From the time of his talk; to his public excoriation of Fr. John; to the removal of Fr.’s priestly faculties; to his banishing Fr. from the parishes and communities that he was faithfully serving; to his ostracizing of Fr. from his fellow priests when he most needed their love and support.

Questions for Bishop Kulick …

Did Fr. John become less gracious?
Did Fr. John’s priestly ministry become less of an example of courage and fidelity?
Did Fr. John’s courageous battle against cancer become less of an inspiration to all of us, you included?

Bishop Kulick had personally known Fr. John for nearly 40 years. Though Fr. John was 5 years older than Bishop Kulick, the bishop followed in his footsteps at St. Joseph’s High School in Natrona Heights. Both were growing as young priests during the exciting years of Pope Saint John Paul II’s papacy, and both have served their entire priesthoods in the Greensburg Diocese.
