Bishop Kulick has chosen to have a healing mass this Saturday, October 11th, for those sexually abused in the past by clergy members.   The victims and all affected should always remain in our prayers – but why has the Bishop suddenly decided to appear vigilant on the prevention of such sins, when there have been no such specific masses in recent years?

As Father John Moineau’s battle against his cancer get’s more dire, the Bishop now wants to appear that he alone is the guardian against all such acts against children and youth. 

But Father John has been the true guardian of our parishes’ and communities’ children for nearly 40 years – not just on a single Sunday, and not driven to do so by a favorable “sound bite”, ala Bishop Kulick.

Let us continue to pray for all that were so horribly affected by the past abuses – and let us continue to pray for Father John and be grateful for the his faithful leadership.
