Due to the current situation surrounding Covid-19 and social distancing, many of the social areas within the Skyline Building have been out of bounds for the entire residency period so far, whilst others have been similarlyout of bounds for large portions of it. Although this is understandable and commendable in regards to preventing the spread of the virus, we, as residents, have still been paying the same amount of rent as charged to previous residents with access to the full building. 

For many residents of Skyline, the social and study areas played a significant part in our selection of the building for this year, and with the pandemic restricting jobs and causing unforeseen costs to many, it is simply not feasible to pay the full amount of rent for largely reduced access, essentially shutting students in to live in one or two rooms for periods of often over a month. Other students have chosen or been pushed into staying at home for the period after Christmas and the New Year, again, not being able to access any of the building due to the virus. 

As such, we ask Fresh Student Living that our rent is reduced or that we are financially reimbursed for the remainder of our tenancy period. Thank you for your time.
