Free Travis Fletcher, Injustice in Lee County Jail

Free Travis Fletcher, Injustice in Lee County Jail
The Issue
Travis Fletcher has been incarcerated for over 21 years, having been arrested at the tender age of 15 in Fort Myers, Florida. At such a young age, Travis was sentenced to two life-without-parole (LWOP) sentences for a tragic event that occurred when he was a teen. Under any measure of justice and fairness, this kind of punitive sentence is extreme, particularly for a juvenile. For the last 6+ years, Travis has been awaiting his fate in Lee County Jail.
The rulings of the United States Supreme Court are clear: Life without parole for juveniles in many cases is unconstitutional, a verdict firmly established by seminal cases such as Graham v. Florida ch. 2014-220 sec.2 Laws of Florida. Yet, despite these legal precedents, Travis remains behind bars—his rights and future entangled in a web of systemic injustice.
Having produced The Prison Show on 90.1 FM KPFT, I've had the solemn duty of communicating with Travis and shining a light on his plight. His continued incarceration is not only a miscarriage of justice but also an actionable violation of the legal standards set forth by the highest court of the land.
We need the immediate intervention of the justice system in Fort Myers to rectify this egregious oversight. I urge local and state officials to reevaluate Travis Fletcher's conviction to align with constitutional principles and human rights standards.
Sign this petition to demand justice for Travis Fletcher—let's right this wrong and secure a fair and compassionate resolution to his plight. Your signature can bring us one step closer to achieving overdue justice and offering Travis a chance for redemption and a future filled with hope.
