Recent TPS approvals are issued with only a couple of months or less before they will become due for renewal.  This short time limit, place a great financial burden on the recipients as most, if not all, of them had relied on charitable donations they received to pay for the original application fees. Until they have work authorization, which usually comes with TPS approval, TPS recipients  won't be able to afford the renewal application fees. 

So, we are asking DHS to waive  the renewal fees for all TPS approvals with less than one year of validity or automatically extend them for a minimum of one year at no charge. This request is not intended to be a claim of entitlement, but is made on the principle of fairness and compassion.
