Why is the Phone Ban so bad? Well, let's ask ourselves who's most affected by this phone ban. Is it the ones making the laws? Is it the people enforcing them? Doesn't this seem unjust? The only group actively affected by this law are the ones who can't vote to change it. This ban is for high school students. And if that's the case shouldn't the affected party get a say? 

 If things continue as they have been schools may even see a drop in attendance, which is the opposite of what schools want. Everything we do in school involves technology and the internet - from the morning announcements and teachers showing lesson plans to completing work on computers. We use technology for everything. So to ban something that can be seen as a personal item for students? That's just a punishment. This can cause unnecessary anxiety for the students and even resentment for the ones who complete their work and stay on top of everything. This generation's trust in authority figures was bad before but now it's just going to get horrible.

 The original restriction of phones being away at all times except for the bus (Not even on school property), hallway (5 minutes), and lunch (20 odd minutes) was already bad enough. But now they're planning to ban phones altogether? Is this a prison or a school? You're taking students' possessions as if this is tolerable. Let's take action before the permanent ban is in place. If you're miserable with this now just imagine what it'll be like in full force. This won't stop at schools it'll soon affect everyone.
