Mahsa Amini was a 22-year-old woman who fell into a coma after being detained by the country’s hated “morality police.” They beat and killed her, and as a result the Iranian people are rising up to fight for their freedoms.

At least 92 people have been killed so far, according to Amnesty International, a majority of which are women and children.

"They had guns, they had paintball guns, they had batons," said Farid, whose name has been changed for his safety. He was one amongst many school students trapped during the protests.

"They were using gases... [that are] banned internationally... it was a war zone... there was blood everywhere."

In one video posted to social media from the scene, police can be seen detaining people and carrying them on motorbikes. In another, loud bangs are heard. {CNN}

These people are silenced. Their lives are risked everyday for even muttering outside of the eyes of the law. SPREAD AWARENESS. Support their fight for freedoms and human rights.

Innocent people die everyday, but these people are being mass murdered. A genocidal warzone for the right to live. The death toll rises, woman and schoolchildren are dying. These people need our support. They need us to cheer them on in order for change to be recognized, in order for change to be enforced. Lives matter. These people's lives matter. Without our acknowledgement and understanding they will continue to die fighting for a cause that no one is aware of. Mahsa Amini will be just another statistic, another number in the piling digits of dying Iranian people. If we don't speak out then we can't save them.

The longer we wait, the more people are shot dead in Iran. Spread Awareness. Iranian lives matter too. Spreading enough awareness and supporting these people will alert authorities to do something to aid them. Please don't let these people suffer any longer.
