The Issue

Peggy Jenkins is my grandmother, a loving and devoted family member who has always prioritized the well-being of her grandson, Michael. When his mother fell into the struggles of addiction, Peggy stepped up, offering Michael a stable and nurturing home. She became the cornerstone of his life, providing love, guidance, and support amidst their family’s challenges.

However, life has its trials, and like many, Michael faced his own struggles. Tragically, on February 14, 2025, those battles proved too overwhelming, and Michael took his own life in an unexpected and heartbreaking turn of events. In the aftermath, our family has been left to grieve this unimaginable loss.

In a devastating twist, on May 5, 2025, Peggy was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the second degree. This action was taken because the gun Michael used was purchased by her, an outcome no one could foresee. It’s crucial to recognize that Peggy had no part in Michael’s decision and has already suffered the profound loss of her beloved grandson.

We are reaching out to the compassionate community of Ashland, KY, and beyond, seeking your support in urging the authorities to reconsider the charges against Peggy Jenkins. These charges not only add to her personal grief but are also misplaced and unjust.

Let's stand together to support Peggy Jenkins and ensure that justice is fairly served. We need to advocate for understanding and fairness, and your signature can make a significant difference.

By signing this petition, you are helping a grieving grandmother and sending a message for humane treatment in our justice system. Let's rally behind Peggy and help her find peace in this tragic situation. Please sign our petition today.
