Employee parking in Aggieville has been a struggle for years, and with recent construction, it is only getting worse. Recently, the back parking lot on Laramie and alleyway running behind shops have closed. City park parking lots will now be ticketing cars for exceeding their time slot. This is causing employees, customers, and businesses to struggle during this time. 

The new parking garage would be beneficial, if only employees didn’t have to pay monthly fees to park there to get to their jobs. As a college town, a lot of workers are college students having to pay for tuition, rent, etc. Many cannot afford to pay these monthly fees. This is both unreasonable and unfair, causing numerous complaints from employees already. In order to make this situation better, we ask for your support in asking the city of Manhattan to grant free parking for employees getting to their workplaces.
