Free Noor Nafea Salman- U.S. Permanent Resident Barbaric ICE Detention
The Issue
On October 9, 2025, 28-year old, Noor Nafea Salman, a Green Card Holder, voluntarily met with Homeland Security agents in what she thought was a routine immigration check-in, and she landed in an inhumane ICE Detention facility in Oklahoma. Despite being a lawful Permanent Resident and married to a U.S, citizen Noor finds herself stuck in an inhumane system for 8 months, and 150 miles from her husband. She and her family were legally admitted to the U.S. when she was 17 years old. Her mother and siblings are U.S. citizens. Noor completed high school in Virginia, has worked hard, paid her taxes and graduated from James Madison University. She was attending medical school prior to her detention with her goal of becoming an OB/Specialist. One of her sisters is deceased and is buried in Virginia.
Her family and friends are devastated by the toll this confinement is taking on her physical and mental well-being. She is enduring unimaginable conditions which not only violate her basic human rights but also put her life at risk. She has been admitted to hospital two times since her ICE detention because of these conditions. This situation is not just a legal matter—it is a personal and deeply concerning crises for all who know her. Noor's health is seriously compromised both physically and emotionally. She entered the facility in Oklahoma as a healthy young woman but this confinement has rendered her extremely weak. Conditions in this prison are inhumane.
We demand that ICE release Noor immediately, so she can access the proper medical care she desperately needs. Her rights as a Permanent Resident must be respected, and she should not have to suffer another day in these barbarous conditions. She does not pose a threat to anyone.
Your support can make a difference. Join us in our plea to free Noor from ICE detention. Sign this petition to urge the authorities to act swiftly and humanely. Every signature, letter and phone call sends a powerful message that Noor's life and health matter. Help us bring Noor back to safety.
