Free Mikheil Saakashvili for urgent medical care

Free Mikheil Saakashvili for urgent medical care
The Issue
The Former President and Prime Minister of the Republic of Georgia has obviously been poisoned in Jail as he awaits trial for offences alleged to have been carried out during his reign between 2004 and 2012. Images released by the Government of Georgia show that Saakashvili is seriously ill yet no public statement has been made to explain why his health has deteriorated so badly in incarceration during the past year. The recent release of images showing Saakashvili with reduced mental capacity, bed bound and dribbling violated his privacy, however they also revealed that he has been poisoned and needs urgent medical care to save his life.
Saakashvili’s fundamental human rights have been violated, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has shown that it is unable to protect him against attack by shadowy forces who seek to use foul play to render him both mentally and physically incapable by the illegal use of toxins against his person, it is well known that these tactics are common to organisations such as the FSB.
Saakashvili is the architect of modern Georgia and responsible for the reforms that led to significant improvements in quality of life for all citizens and guests. Regardless of whether one “likes” Saakashvili his human rights must be protected.
Current Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has the power to issue a formal pardon which would facilitate Saakashvili’s immediate transfer to the Charité Clinic in Berlin where Alexei Navalny was successfully treated following his poisoning by FSB agents.
Saakashvilis health is deteriorating fast, public order and Georgias international reputation will be severely compromised if the former President dies in Jail.
It is imperative that Mikheil Saakashvili is pardoned by President Zurabishvili and released for urgent lifesaving medical care.
