Megan Hammers is a mother of 2 boys, whose lives were drastically changed as was hers. She was convicted of Child abuse and has served 10 years in prison, with the 'possibility' of parole still being 2029, she is currently being held at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud Oklahoma. Hospitals refused to release medical records before, during trial, and to this very day. Megan Hammers was also a victim of domestic violence and the conclusion of a failed judicial system towards her. Even without all of that included, Megan Hammer's case got picked up by the Innocence Project in 2023 and she has been working with them to get medical records proving her innocence. As of Oct 2024 a report from a 3rd medical expert has sided with 2 previous expert opinions, agreeing with her innocence.
