Matthew Piercey, a father of 3 boys and faithful husband, has been a federal prisoner of the United States Justice System for over 3 years now. His trial has yet to occur. Matthew, who is not perfect, and has definitely made some mistakes with his financial company ‘Zolla Finacial’; just wants to get back to his family. 

Matt is potentially facing a life behind bars, locked away from his family forever. This tragedy has left the Piercey family in shambles. Jaidan Piercey, one of Matt’s older sons and the organizer of this petition, states: “The forced absence of my dad has been one of the toughest things I have had to endure. Having the FBI raid your house as a 16 year old boy, was terrifying. To see news outlets and media portray my father as a villain, was horrible. But regardless of what others say, I know my father is a good man; not a criminal.

As an American, I believe that Justice is a key pillar to the well being and successful operation of our nation. Justice, is Biblical; God, is a just God. However, our system is not perfect and, even good people can fall victim to our Justice System.

I would consider my father Matt, to be one of the most influential persons that I have ever met. I love my father, and believe that he can be shown mercy for his mistakes. 

Before Matt Piercey got into the Financial Industry, he was a full time missionary. He lived with his wife in ‘Kosovo’ where they served the nation full time providing humanitarian aid as well as spread the Gospel of Christ to the war torn nation that emerged from Yugoslavia in Eastern Europe. Matt Piercey and his wife suffered for the faith constantly during this few year period, and were almost martyred on multiple occasions. Kosovo and the surrounding area was predominantly Muslim. Over the years, Matt chose to settle down from overseas life and to rather to build his family and raise three boys. Ultimately, his financial mistakes have landed him behind bars. But Matt continues to spread the Love of Jesus even in Jail! He hosts bible studies and prayer groups. He has seen many inmates come to Christ! He has become called as a missionary to a place where few go: The American Incarceration System. However, it’s time for Change…
