FREE James Costello - Political Prisoner

FREE James Costello - Political Prisoner
The Issue
James Costello should NOT be in prison. James is an honest, caring and trustworthy man, who has positively affected almost everyone he has met. His friends describe him as an inspiration, and his unshakable optimism has helped many of us through hard times.
James was stolen from us by our anti-White state and court system in November 2023 and will be away from us for 5 YEARS. James's ‘crime’ was posting stickers in Liverpool City Centre which advertised a website that hosted audiobooks narrated by James. These books were completely legal in their author's country (the United States); however some language used in these books is considered illegal in the UK. Despite James only narrating these books, he was hauled in front of a judge and sentenced to serve 5 years alongside some of the most dangerous criminals in the country.
Since then James has been BANNED from contacting his friends and has been unfairly moved miles away from his family in Liverpool to HMP Manchester (Strangeways). James has complained of the rat infestation that plagues the prison and has been denied the right to work on his prison wing despite not being a violent offender.
Our demands are twofold:
Send James back to HMP Liverpool so that his family can properly visit him. This will also put James in a lower category prison than he is in now.
And
Remove ALL communication bans between James Costello and his friends. No exceptions.
Below you will find a letter that is addressed to the prison governor of HMP Manchester, Mr Rob Knight. The letter can also be forwarded to the Home Secretary. We ask that you copy and paste this letter and fill in your details so that Rob Knight and the Home Secretary can consider James's case.
It isn’t possible to email the governor so please print off a copy of the letter below and post to Rob Knight at the prison address below the letter
Dear Governor Rob Knight,
I am writing to you in reference to a prisoner in your care: James Costello (Prisoner Number: A3561FA / D.O.B: 08.01.1985).
I have become aware that the prison is treating James in a way that he perceives to be unfair and evasive. James has said several times that he has been ignored and mistreated by your staff at HMP Manchester. My two largest concerns are that James has been denied contact with some of his closest friends without good reason and that James is still residing in a Category A prison despite being on the verge of recategorisation to Category C. I shall provide my objections to these measures below.
Firstly, James has been moved to HMP Manchester despite being a life-long resident of Merseyside. No reason was given for this move. and James himself is unaware of the reason for this move. James has been moved an unacceptable distance from his family, and they face difficulties in visiting him due to the distance of the prison from his loved ones. HMP Manchester is a Category A and B prison, whilst James is soon to be recategorised as a Category C prisoner because of his impeccable behaviour and non-violent criminal status. Furthermore, James is approaching the date where he would be eligible to be released on Home Detention Curfew. However, no effort has been made to put James on this pathway despite his good behaviour and lack of risk to the public. This is despite the ever-worsening struggles to house much more serious and violent offenders across the UK.
I request that James is placed on Home Detention Curfew at the earliest opportunity; and that the work required to make this happen begins immediately.
Failing this, I request that James is to be moved to a Category C prison, alongside recategorisation, with immediate effect. James has identified HMP Hindley as a suitable prison to transfer to, given its much closer proximity to his family in Kirkby, Liverpool.
James is a non-violent offender with Enhanced Status, who has become a favourite resident among prison staff on every wing he has lived on, has been identified as one of the hardest workers in the prison’s kitchens and has actively taken part in many prison workshops including theatre and art workshops. He has been placed behind bars for using language that the state deems to be inappropriate. Both staff and inmates have, on several occasions, expressed their shock and bewilderment that James is held in such a high-security prison at all. As such it concerns me that James has been moved into a prison that houses some of the UK's most prolific murderers, rapists, child molesters and terrorists.
Some of your prison's historic residents include:
• Valdo Calocane, the terrorist who murdered 3 people and injured 3 more during the 2023 Nottingham Terrorist Attack.
• Ian Brady, the man behind the infamous ‘Moors Murders’that included the sexual assault and murder of at least 5 children.
• Harold Shipman, Britan's most prolific serial killer who murdered an estimated 250 patients under his care.
• Charles Bronson, commonly known as ‘Britain's Most Violent Prisoner’.
The fact that James, a peaceful, kind and co-operative man, is being held in the same prison as these offenders is absolutely preposterous. Furthermore, James has complained of the squalid conditions in which he is forced to live. He has reported large rodents being commonplace in the prison and that staff do not attempt to rectify such issues. HMP Manchester has been under scrutiny for decades regarding its lack of basic care for its prisoners. Conditions such as these led to the infamous 1990 Strangeways Prison Riot that left 147 Prison Officers and 47 prisoners injured. I have faith that HMP Manchester is improving under your leadership, however James has no business being held in sub-par conditions in a prison that is nowhere near his friends and family.
I request that James is released on Home Detention Curfew as soon as possible.
Failing this, I request that James is reclassified as a Category C prisoner and moved to HMP Hindley with immediate effect.
My second concern is that James has been denied the right to communicate with some of his friends despite no appropriate reason being given. The current list of people that I am aware of James being banned from communicating with is as follows.
• Michael Woodbridge
• Joe Marsh
• Samuel Melia
• Mark Collett
These are some of James's closest friends. Both James and the people listed above are deeply upset at the prospect of not being able to communicate with each other for five years. This grief is further compounded by the fact that HMP Manchester has not bothered to provide any reason for the communication bans.
I request that you lift all bans on James communicating with people outside of HMP Manchester. I also request that you reveal your reasoning as to why these bans were instituted in the first place.
Mr Knight, I would like to conclude by thanking you for reading this letter. I simply wish for my dear friend, James Costello, to be treated with dignity and respect whilst he is under your care. Should you wish to reply to my letter, you can either reply to my email address or send a letter to the return address at the bottom of this letter / on the envelope of this letter.
Kind Regards,
