My name is Mr. James C. Armwood B-72532 and for the last 23 years I've been incarcerated for first- degree murder on the theory of accountability. If you ask me what ALL that means, I couldn't tell you. I'm ignorant when it comes to the law; but I sit here with 45 years at 100% by the same law. I understand time, years, thoughts of suicide, loneliness, brokeness and even being scared for many years. Also, I learned God. How much I need Him and WANT Him going through this situation. How much He loves me, care for me, and He has my best interest at heart.

How He shown me my purpose, my calling, how he restored my marriage, my family, and soon my freedom. In all I'm still here because of God. I will NEVER take credited for how I made it these 23 years. It's been difficult but beneficial, hard but made areas that need it to be soften. It's so true what the Word says, "that ALL THINGS work out for the good". It might don't seem good or even feel good; but it working out for my good.

I am Geneva R. Nelson, ex-wife of James Armwood. Our petition Free James Armwood is for him, his family and for others that may be in a similar situation that the James Armwood case will be used in reference to in case’s in similar nature. Firstly James is incarcerated with 45 years. in which his counterpart whom actually fired the weapon that’s caused the victims death, received 35years imprisonment that is 10years less than James who was two blocks away then shoots were fired, why and how is that possible? James is in his 23rd year of incarceration. Since James and myself have reconciled, he now has contact with his children and grandchildren. James and I has started a clemency and the clemency was on March 9, 2023 and we have not heard anything since then I call on a consistent basis and they tell me the governor has not given any word so they have nothing. James is now the Pastor of New Foundation Church. There is a lot of information regarding the case that is hard to include in all of this partition, but anyone willing to sign definitely has the information to do their research. James has a home to live in and I have also been looking for employment for him. James needs to be home to see his children and grandchildren grow, and to have a life that he was robbed of which his wife. Free James Armwood
