There is a statue of a Confederate soldier on Main Street in Franklin, NC. The civil war began primarily as a result of the long-standing controversy over the enslavement of African Americans. The Confederate lost the war. The statue is not only lacking importance to Franklin, NC as well as the other statues in the rest of the USA, but it is controversial and offensive. We are striving to get this shameful statue taken down as it should have never been erected.
