Fracking is the process of drilling down into the earth before a high pressure water mixture is directed at the rock to release gas inside. Although fracking increases the oil and gas production, fracking often leads to ground water contamination. The federal government doesn't require companies to disclose the impacts of fracking fluids within ground water-- fracking can often introduce toxic fluids leading to contaminated waters.  Fracking damages wild lands as well, fracking operations often take place within wild and rural landscapes. This creates unsafe environments for agriculture and draining gallons of water from these habitats . This petition serves to promote government regulations within fracking or banning the use of fracking within environments
