Franky Doyle and Bridget Westfall, the iconic same sex couple known from the popular Australian prison drama, Wentworth, have gained a huge fan base all over the world. Fans who are missing these two in the new season, fans who would like to have more - an insight into Bridget's background story, into Franky's background story but most of all, into what the future brings for this charismatic couple after the camera stopped rolling with Franky clearing her name.

With Wentworth coming to an end in 2021 and fans who are not yet ready to say goodbye, what could be more perfect than to launch the 'Fridget' spin-off show, and both Nicole da Silva and Libby Tanner have expressed a keen interest in Franky and Bridget getting their own show.

Australian TV shows and films are steadily gaining popularity abroad and why not take advantage of this by producing a show that already has a certain fan base just waiting for this show to happen?
