It's been awhile since I posted an update, but wanted to let everyone know we broke the 20,000 mark! For over a year now, people have continued to sign the petition letting networks know we'd like to see more of "The Glades". A&E's continued run down the reality TV road has led them to nothing but abysmal ratings, most of which never break the cable top 100 shows for the week. "The Glades" was ALWAYS in the top 100 with certainly better ratings than what they are showing now. Reruns of "Criminal Minds" is about all you see break the top 100. In other news, there is strong speculation that another A&E cancellation may be picked up by Netflix. "Longmire" was also canceled on a cliffhanger and was A&E's highest rated drama series, with "The Glades" providing a very strong lead-in. What does that mean for us? You simply never know. In the famous words of someone I'm sure, "Never say never!". Change.org allows me to print out each signature and comment posted to the petition. I plan to put that in a binder and mail a copy to Netflix so they can see in hard copy all of your dedication. Although most of the cast has moved to other projects, that may or may not keep them from at least finishing up the series. I know we all want continued success for the cast, and I'm sure just like all of us, they are favorable to eating once in awhile, so a job is very important. Matt Passmore's new USA series was renewed for another season, and Kiele Sanchez's series on DirecTV, "Kingdom" was also renewed for two more seasons. Even if it is difficult to pull off, I'm sure if a door opens up, the cast will find a way to at least provide closure for all of us. Bottom line is, never give up.
