A person can only endure so many hardships in one year. After a crippling global pandemic, a devastating explosion in Beirut, and mass protests for social injustices, 2020 has subjected us to yet another tragedy of Greek proportions:

Phonetic analysis software Praat, our steadfast beacon of wholesomeness with its unwavering self-confidence in its 1990s aesthetic, our saevis tranquillus in undis in these troubled times -- has changed its unique, endearing, and much beloved retro logo to a generic monstrosity. 

Gone is the quirky drawing of a mouth and ear drawn in MS Paint where you can still see the individual pixels. Gone is the nostalgia for simpler times. Gone is our beloved original Praat logo.

But it's not too late. We can still right this wrong.
