Bring Back the Old Fortnite

Bring Back the Old Fortnite
The Issue
Pretend it’s March 2018, you’re on twitch watching Ninja, Tim the Tatman and Dr. Lupo wipe out tilted towers after a long day of school. Ninja ends his stream so you head over to your Xbox/PlayStation/PC and load into Fortnite. All of your friends are on, so you texts the boys and see who wants to squad up. Everyone immediately reply’s back saying that they will play. You land at Tilted towers for a few warmup games, then land at different places like Haunted Hills, Greasy Grove, the Prison by Moisty Mire and the houses in the top right corner of the map. Eventually, you and the boys get your first win together. Everyone’s hype, screaming in the mic and posting pictures on their Snapchat stories. Back then, we had no idea that we would look back on those days, wishing we could have one more game with the boys.
Today, Fortnite seems like a completely different game. All of our favorite locations have been wiped from the map, and only people who sit in creative for hours a day can win. Before turbo building and edit sensitivities, the game was more balanced. The most important part of the game was your aim, and building was only used to build giant forts with your friends, or to cover yourself from AR shots. The majority of Fortnite players don’t have the time to practice their builds and edits all day, so it’s impossible for us to keep up. If Epic Games were to bring back the season 3 map, with the season 3 weapons and graphics, it would bring back tons of old players and streamers. Everyone could use the nostalgia of landing at their favorite locations from the old map with their old squad that they haven’t played with in years. Epic Games could also make the game more balanced by getting rid of turbo building, so that the game is more fun for everyone. Even if it’s just for one season, the Fortnite community wants the old Fortnite back. We have been playing your game for years, and we want you to listen to the community for a change.
