The Issue

As we know, fortnite began to allow skin based challenges to carry over to other seasons after many people failed to complete the challenges required to level up the two main skins of season four, the Carbide and Omega. Now they’ve said that they will not be reopening the challenges in the future, but I would like that to change. It was proven to be literally impossible for the average person, who has school, work, and other obligations, to complete the omega challenges before the season was up. For all the misdeeds that have been committed, this could be their redemption. For instance, the vaulting of the burst assault rifle.

One infamous streamer, Faze Tfue, was notorious for being a true default after his account was banned for purchasing accounts. It was late season seven when he said that he would only purchase skins again if they removed the burst assault rifle. The next patch to roll out for the Battle Royale was the removal of the bursts. This cannot be coincidental. Many people loved using the burst, some felt the same way as Tfue, dubbing them garbage, or ineffective. But because epic games can’t get enough cash, the decided to get one more cow into their ropes and milk the hell out of it. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, but when a company panders to an influential person just because of their status and assets, the scales are tipped. The many no longer have much power.

Let’s also bring up the removal of basic physics from the Nintendo Switch. Cosmetics are a huge part of Fortnite, we can’t deny that. The majority of epic games’ fortune comes from skins. However, skins can be left rotting away in one’s locker due to multiple factors, one being bugs. These mainly effect skins that haven’t been properly tested out on specific platforms, such as the Nintendo Switch. Many skins with lengthy hair and or cloaks and capes, often had visual bugs. But it wasn’t until recently, in season nine, that they removed almost all physics in the game entirely. Skins such as dire and copper wasp, who have bandannas, said articles of clothing would stick out straight behind their head. Other cosmetics such as capes, for instance, the banner brigade cape, would also stick out in a horizontal fashion. Skins with longer hair, such as Ember, who had long bangs and a braided pony tail, simply don’t abide to the laws of physics. Her bangs clip through her shoulder blades, and he pony tail is forever erect. Skins with cloaks or long articles of clothing, such as Raven, Ravage, Clutch, and Ember once more, simply stick to the player model, rather than flowing through the air as they should. The switch is more than powerful enough provide these graphics, but epic just doesn’t want to comply.

Theres a plethora of other issues with the game that they have yet to fix, such as shooting through builds and players phasing through builds, that have yet to be fixed. The list can be expanded by us, and us alone.
