Shriners Circus is directly responsible for animal abuse.

It is well known that wild animals do not thrive in captivity and suffer, yet Shriners International allows the use of several animals at their circuses such as tigers, elephants, bears, and kangaroos. These animals are forced to perform unnatural acts to entertain crowds of circus attendees, and they continue to suffer from abuse both through training and during showtime. Shriners circuses across the country have been cited hundreds of times for both animal cruelty and public safety issues -- take a look at this fact sheet below with more details:

I am asking Fort Wayne Indiana and every other city participating in hosting these Shrine Circuses to stop renting spaces to them. The venue in Fort Wayne is the Allen County War Memorial Colosseum. Fort Wayne is a beautiful city that can do better than hosting animal abusing circuses.

Animal circuses are outdated with them being banned in many countries around the world and even a few places here in the US. The Shriners need to discontinue the use of all animals at their circuses and fundraisers and immediately end the use and abuse of all animals because no animal should be used for human entertainment. Ringling Brothers closed down in 2017 and it's time for the Shriners to follow them.
