It was recently decided by the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo that they would no longer have the Pony Trails exhibit, which has been part of the Zoo for 40 years. By signing this petition we are asking Fort Wayne Children's Zoo to reconsider their decision, and let them know how many of the residents of Fort Wayne and surrounding areas support the Pony Trail! 

Excerpt taken from an interview on WPTA's Facebook page:

“The area of the Zoo dedicated to the Pony Trail needs to be temporarily repurposed for the next reimagined animal area of the Zoo with construction to start in the near future, meaning the attraction will not be part of the Zoo experience in 2022,” Kemp said.

She says currently, there are no definitive plans for the area and it was not clear when the pony rides would eventually return, if at all.

Kemp said they are not able to provide any additional details because they "either are not ready to share them or do not have them finalized yet."
