Save Our Silos & Designate the Coy Farmstead Historic District, Ft Collins CO

The Issue

NEW Petition to Fort Collins City Council
Help us save the Historic Coy Farmstead!
Please sign our petition. The historic Coy farm silos are still under threat of demolition by their new owner, Woodward, Inc.  These silos are two of the four buildings on the Poudre River designated a state landmark district back in 1995.  Woodward knew they were purchasing historic buildings when they bought the land.

Despite years of promises to "preserve and protect" the Coy silos, barn, and milk house, and having received $23.6 million in taxpayer funded incentives, Woodward has applied for a demolition permit claiming the silos are "imminently dangerous".  Fort Collins’ Chief Building Official and the city’s Building Review Board have now TWICE ruled that the silos aren’t imminently dangerous and should be stabilized and repaired.  In response, Woodward has again appealed the Building Review Board’s March 7th decision to City Council, who will hear the appeal later this spring. Please show your support for the Coy Farmstead Historic District by signing the petition below.
