Formal Request for Termination of Brande Conway from North Star School District

Formal Request for Termination of Brande Conway from North Star School District
The Issue
My son, an outstanding student and athlete, has been the target of relentless bullying since the start of this school year. Despite being a kind and considerate individual who avoids trouble, he and his friends were wrongfully blamed for an incident where a bully hit another student with a lunch tray, splattering ketchup and milk all over them. As a result, my son faced unjust consequences, including after-school detention and loss of field trip privileges, while the true instigator went virtually unpunished for a direct assault on several students.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident but part of a broader pattern of mistreatment by the current middle school principal. The principal's tyrannical attitude and unfair practices, including calling children morons and liars has created an environment where upstanding students are punished, and the real perpetrators are not held properly accountable. Such an unethical approach not only tarnishes the school's reputation but also deeply affects the emotional and psychological well-being of young students.
Numerous reports and complaints from other parents reveal a similar experience—students who excel academically and athletically find themselves victims of power abuse rather than being commended for their achievements. This toxic environment breeds fear rather than nurturing our children's growth and potential.
We demand a change in leadership prioritizing fair treatment, respect, and support for all students. Our school community needs a principal who not only leads by example but fosters a safe and encouraging environment for every student to thrive. Therefore, we urge the school board to address this issue promptly by evaluating the current principal's methods and consider appointing someone better equipped to lead our school with integrity and compassion.
Please sign this petition to stand up for our children's right to a just, supportive, and bully-free educational experience.
