The Issue

I’m deeply concerned about the proposed data center on the west end of our neighborhood in Foristell, MO, literally just steps from my backyard. This isn't just a personal concern — it's a community-wide issue that requires our collective voice. Health and environmental issues are at the forefront of this discussion. Data centers consume vast amounts of energy, potentially leading to increased air pollution. Moreover, the constant noise and light pollution from such centers can disrupt our community's tranquility and natural environment. Beyond environmental concerns, the introduction of a data center threatens to deteriorate property values in our new subdivision. For those like me who have invested in this neighborhood with hopes for a peaceful and prosperous community, the potential depreciation of our property values is distressing. Additionally, there's a very real possibility that the expansion of interstate roads might cut through the heart of our neighborhood. This expansion could lead to increased traffic, affecting safety and convenience for residents, particularly families with young children. Our neighborhood’s character and value are at stake, and it’s imperative that we take a stand now. We must form a coalition of concerned citizens to express our shared concerns, discuss potential alternatives, and ensure that our voices are heard by decision-makers in this matter. We urge the local government to conduct comprehensive environmental and residential impact studies before making any final decisions about the data center and associated infrastructure. Please join us in opposing the data center proposal by signing this petition. Together, we can protect our community for future generations and ensure that Foristell remains the vibrant, peaceful place we all cherish.
